Local Man Wins Company's National Presidential Award

LATHAM, NY:  Saugerties resident Christopher Lawkins received Carrier Corporation’s National 2010 Presidential Award for Top Territory Manager (TM) in the Northeast at the company’s annual award ceremony held  in Las Vegas, NV. An employee of RJ Murray Co., a HVAC wholesale distributor headquartered in Latham, NY, Lawkins was also a finalist for Territory Manager of the Year and one of the company’s top 14 TMs.
 
A graduate of Onteora High School, Lawkins received an associate degree in business administration from Ulster County Community College after serving for four years in the US Army Military Police. He worked in automotive electronics before beginning his career in heating, ventilation and air conditioning contracting, and joined RJ Murray Co. in 2006.
